Dallas Snipers hangs on, beats Springfield Express 4-2

Dallas Snipers took the lead against Springfield Express in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory. 

Dallas Snipers took over the lead for good with a goal by Erik Svensson at 18 seconds in the first period. Justin Becton picked up the assist. 

Svensson was all over the ice for Dallas Snipers, as he had two goals in the win. 

Dallas Snipers also got points from Becton, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Dusan Olsa also scored for Dallas Snipers. In addition, Dallas Snipers received assists from Jean Cobo, Pavol Kotzman, and Carl Sandsten, who each chipped in two. 

Springfield Express stifled Dallas Snipers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The defensemen of Springfield Express were also effective in Dallas Snipers' zone, and came away with two goals. 

Springfield Express was led by Eric Anderson, who registered two goals. Anderson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:23 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dallas Snipers. A tripping penalty on Yevgeni Nikolaev had put Springfield Express on the power play. David Higgs provided the assist. Anderson's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Dallas Snipers with 4:09 left in the third period. Tobias Sjolund picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Springfield Express were Diego Bartlett and Seth Ensor, who contributed one each. 

Sander Berg made 24 saves for Dallas Snipers on 26 shots. Dallas Snipers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Oliver Eklund rejected 24 shots on goal for Springfield Express. Springfield Express incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
