OKC Returns to Dallas Again

DALLAS SNIPERS (2-11-2, 6 pts)

The Dallas Snipers dug themselves into a hole in the bottom of the standings this past weekend after falling to Midwest Division rivals Wichita.

Christopher Mingus put up a goal and an assist for Dallas, and Eric Eaton had a two-point game on Saturday, but Dallas ultimately fell short and was swept by the Thunder.

Goalie Alexander Moustakis got shelled with 77 shots over five periods on Friday and Saturday and just couldn’t hold off the Wichita attack.

Peter Kutlak’s two assists over the three-game series puts his season total to a team-leading 13 to go along with his five goals on the year. Kutlak now sits just seven assists shy of franchise leader Justin Becton.

Meanwhile, Alexander Yunanov’s third period assist on Saturday tied him for the franchise all-time lead in points with 127.

Unfortunately for Dallas, they next play host to the undefeated Oklahoma City Blazers this weekend. The Blazers are looking to thrust themselves into Division title contention and it will be up to the Snipers to play the upset card and send OKC home with their first losses of the season.
