Dallas Snipers vs. Pueblo Bulls (9/27- 9/29)
PREVIEW:
The opening weekend for the Western States Hockey League is upon us and only one series is on the schedule.
It is a special series with the Pueblo Bulls paying a visit to the Dallas Snipers. Friday marks the Bull’s first official WSHL game and they will be facing a Snipers side that is set on improving from last year’s marks.

The Snipers:
Dallas dropped the Mid-Western Division Semi-Final in horrendous fashion to the El Paso Rhinos. After being eliminated, Dallas had an early start to the offseason and it has paid off on paper so far. The team has been able to return key defensive players but lost their starting goalie along with their top three scorers. The Snipers will hope to start the season better than last year when they endured a series sweep by the Rhinos. This season’s opening series won’t be as difficult considering their opponent has no regular season experience in the league yet.
The Bulls:
Pueblo has already been welcomed to the league. They were able to size up a fellow divisional rival in the Northern Colorado Eagles in a preseason game on Sept 14. The Bulls did not get the score they wanted falling to the Eagles 8-2 and being outshot 50 to 37.
The team has had time to find adjustments and will come out with a more competitive edge.
The Snipers will continue their regular season next weekend hosting the El Paso Rhinos and the Bulls will be back in action on Oct. 11 against the Wichita Jr. Thunder.
