Wichita Jr. Thunder downs Dallas Snipers in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

Wichita Jr. Thunder's Patrik Janac scored 1:09 into overtime to beat Dallas Snipers, 6-5 (OT). 

Wichita Jr. Thunder came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Wichita Jr. Thunder trailed 5-2 after a goal by Dallas Snipers' Justin Becton at 1:26 in the third period. Wichita Jr. Thunder knotted things up at 5-5 on a power play goal by Janac at 13:59 in the third period. 

Wichita Jr. Thunder forced Dallas Snipers goalie Renauld Gaboury to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. 

Wichita Jr. Thunder also got points from Alex Smith, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Wichita Jr. Thunder also had goals scored by John Pierce and Joel Johnson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wichita Jr. Thunder received assists from Peter Cicmanec and Ivan Brvenik, who contributed three each. 

Dallas Snipers' offense rang up 51 shots on Wichita Jr. Thunder's net. Dallas Snipers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. 

Dallas Snipers also got a goal from Peter Kutlak as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dallas Snipers were Dusan Olsa, who had two and Jesse Buchholz, Alexander Yunanov, Erik Svensson, and Carl Sandsten, who each chipped in one. 

Matej Varchola made 46 saves for Wichita Jr. Thunder on 51 shots. Wichita Jr. Thunder incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Gaboury recorded 41 saves for Dallas Snipers. Dallas Snipers registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
